Online ASL Torah Storytelling

Hillel at Gallaudet, Jewish Deaf Resource Center, Jewish Deaf Congress and Washington Society of Jewish Deaf are coordinating a Virtual ASL Torah Storytelling.

When: Friday, October 9, 2020

Time: 7:00 PM EST

There will be a traditional lighting of the candles, prayers, a sermon, and discussion session, all in American Sign Language. Voice interpreters and captioning will be provided. The service will be recorded. A break out group follows service during the Oneg.

Yizkor, which means “to remember,” is a memorial service held in a synagogue. Yizkor is recited four times a year (Yom Kippur, Shemini Atzeret, eighth day of Passover, and second day of Shavuot.)
