RabbiDubowe_thumbRabbi Rebecca L. Dubowe, the first deaf female to be ordained as Rabbi in the country, and with Temple Adat Elohim in Thousand Oaks, CA since 1997, is scheduled to make appearances at two temples on the east coast.

On Friday, March 19th, Rabbi Dubowe will speak during Shabbat service at Temple Micah. An ASL interpreter will be present, and all are welcome. Temple Micah is located at 2892 Wisconsin Ave, NW (www.templemicah.org). Service will begin at 6pm.

On Friday, April 16th, Dubowe, will give a sermon and share her personal story, “”I Heard God’s Call…” at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City.

Interpreters will be provided. Congregation Rodeph Sholom, 7 West 83rd Street, NYC, Friday night, April 16, 2010 at 6:00 PM. Annual Freedom Seder will follow the sermon. Rabbi Dubowe will teach as part of the worship service the next day, Saturday April 17th at 10:15AM followed by lunch. Everyone is welcome to attend either service.
