Letters to the Editor

Dear JDCC,

Losing you is like a person’s death!

You were the only resource that reached out and kept informing about so many Jewish events ; not only Jewish holiday info !!
You were an educational resource for me and because I live in Montréal Canada ..so Essential because we have no resources here for our Deaf Jewish community.. so I was the link. I used many of your suggestions, and was so inspired!

Perhaps you can send me links to organizations in the USA or other Deaf communities! I lived in NYC for 30 years .. and worked at Lex School for the Deaf … very special memories and my first intro to the Deaf world. The Deaf NY community was very welcoming!

So sad 😞 about your closing .. yes painful 😥

Hi, again, David & Sharon,

I hope you’re doing well. I was saddened to learn that JDCC News will be closing in June. I thank you, Sharon, and everyone else associated with it for all of the help and publicity you graciously offered us over the years as we organized ASL-interpreted Services and Events starting in 2005 and continuing now (and, hopefully into the future) on an approximately-monthly basis. My best wishes go to everyone there, and hope that you’ll please keep us posted if you or Sharon move to, or help create, something similar so that we can send our notices there, too, which we’d love to do. Much appreciated for everything, and thanks again!

Thanks again, and we really do appreciate all of your assistance in helping to publicize what we’re doing!

Sincerely,
Bram Weiser, MS, CT
