Technology: Virtual ASL Interpreted Shabbat Service – Online

Announced on Washington Society of Jewish Deaf (WSJD) that one of their members Shane Feldman who recently relocated to Connecticut invited Jewish Deaf people to Congregation Beth Israel’s virtual ASL interpreted Shabbat service held on March 27th. Ellen Schein was interpreting this service.

CBI’s Rabbi Pincus and Cantor Kupfer lead a 45-minute Shabbat service with song, prayer and drash (story). The service is streaming live on Facebook and YouTube. Deaf viewers can view the ASL interpreter through use of Zoom program on their computers.
