Washington Society of Jewish Deaf (WSJD) hosts Painting Party with Kelly Simpson, chief artist and entertainer.
Kelly Simpson will provide all the materials needed to create the tree of life painting, while Washington Society of Jewish Deaf provides refreshments and wine. Why the tree of life, you may ask. The Tree of Life, or Etz haChayim ( in Hebrew), is a term for the mystical symbol used in the Kabbalah, also known as the 10 Sephirot. The tree represents the divine emanations that God created, the nature of divinity, the human soul, and the spiritual path of ascent by humans.
