Washington Society of Jewish Deaf Hanukkah Bash

wsjdhighholThe Washington Society of Jewish Deaf (WSJD) hosted a Hanukkah Bash on Sunday, December 18 from 2-5 p.m. at the Casey Community Center in Gaithersburg, Md.

Savory latkes, donuts, beverages, and other delicious food, dreidel games, gelt, ASL storytelling, and a fun “Gently Used Gift Exchange” were part of the Hanukkah Bash.  People brought “real gelt” (cash) to participate in the raffle. What’s one person’s junk is someone else’s treasure! To participate in the Gift Exchange, they could bring a gift-wrapped gently used object of approximately $ 10 value.

Guests were asked to bring a potluck dish. A kosher food table was also arranged.
