Temple receives grant to enhance accessibility

bethhatikvahCongregation Beth Hativah (CBH), a jewish reconstructionist synagogue in Summit, NJ, has received a matching grant for up to $2,000 raised by 13 year old congregant Evan Horowitz as part of his Bar Mitzvah service project.
 
The Metrowest ABLE Challange grant will allow the synagogue to improve access for members and guests to facilitate use and enhance comfort. The grant money will be used to purchase audio equipment for hearing impaired, make the building more wheel chair accessible, and help prevent sun glare for the visually sensitive.

CBH was one of ten Jewish congregations to receive the grant money. which were funded by United Jewish Communities of MetroWest UJA Campaign and the Gary Aidekman Family Foundation.
