Nineteen TBS Sisterhood members were honored with an appreciation luncheon on October 23, at Bijou Cafe for their loyalty and diligent efforts in maintaining the sisterhood for 54 wonderful years. The group was entertained with a look back over the many years shares together with stories from many of the members.
The luncheon began with a special blessing by Joyce Linden and a story about the custom of Sukkot with the lulav and etrog to bless the harvest.
President, Elaine Aikins, presented Certificates of Appreciation for their 2016 work making the Summer Fling, Sisterhood tournaments and fundraising events so successful.
Charter members in attendance were: Elaine Aikins, Adele Podolsky, Dianne Kanawyer, Ruth Richter, Joyce Linden, Renah Ben-An, and Helen Diamond.
Adele Podolsky received a special award for 54 years of Dedicated Service and Ellen Davidson was honored with 2016 Woman of the Year presented by last year’s recipient Joanne Gleicher.
The afternoon concluded with a strong feeling of camaraderie and promises to continue their firm support of TB S’ Sisterhood.
