Temple Emeth in Chestnut Hill, MA held a Shabbat event on March 4th.
They invited members of the deaf community to participate in “This special Shabbat affirming our commitment to embrace differences and fostering awareness of the diverse needs of the community”
The event is dedicated to the memory of Elliott Linda and Leon Goodman.

According to a funeral notice, Leon founded The Boston Hebrew Association of the Deaf in 1961. The organization became part of the Bureau of Jewish Education of Greater Boston in 1997.
