Congregation Rodeph Sholom invited people with special needs and their family members to attend a Purim Service and celebration in Manhattan on Saturday, March 19, 2011 from 1:30 to 2:30 PM.
There will be prayer, Megillah reading, music and merrymaking to celebrate Purim. Members and non-members of all ages are welcome free of charge and healthy snacks will be available including hamantashen.
Costumes are welcome but they request that you do not wear masks or groggers (noisemakers).
While not specifically for the deaf community, they say the service will be child-friendly and interpreted into ASL.
If you have questions, or to RSVP, contact: specialneeds@crsnyc or call 646-454-3124 with your name, email address and/or phone number, number of people attending, the age of the individual with special needs, and the nature of the special need.
