Joshua Mendelsohn has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner of the Community Living Division at the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC).

Mendelsohn says: “In a nutshell, MRC has three goals: financial support for people with disabilities (social security disability determinations), transferring people with disabilities into the community and enabling them to live independently with or without supports (Community Living), and finding employment for people with disabilities (Vocational Rehabilitation).
“I will be Assistant Commissioner for the second goal. I will supervise multiple programs providing or contracting for services to people with disabilities living in residential homes or in the community across the Commonwealth.
“This becomes effective next Sunday [December 27th]. Ironic, because that’s the two-year anniversary of my last day with the Department of Justice. Since then, I had been working as Associate Counsel for MRC.
“Looking forward to the next stage of my career!”
