In an upcoming episode of CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION, guest-staring Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God; The L Word) and Tony Award winning actress Phyllis Frelich (Santa Barbara), a night full of celebration ends with a bang when the director of a scholarship foundation for the deaf is killed by a deadly car bomb, prompting CSI Sara Sidle (played by Jorja Fox) to interrogate the students and faculty of the college where her mother-in-law, Mrs. Grissom, works. Matlin plays a deaf professor and former CSI Gil Grissom’s ex-girlfriend. Frelich plays Grissom’s deaf mother/Sara’s mother-in-law. The episode, entitled “The Two Mrs. Grissoms” will air Thurs, Feb. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Matlin will also appear on CBS’s hit daytime talk show, “The Talk” on Feb. 3 (check local listings) to promote the episode, in which a large majority of the extras were actually deaf actors.
