The American Guild of Judaic Art (AGIA) is inviting students to participate in an international program whose mission is to teach young people to create Judaic art. This inspirational Jewish arts program is entitled: The Judaic Visual Arts On-Line Mentoring Program For Students Grades 7-12.
This program is funded by AGIA and membership is not a requirement for admission to the program. There is no cost to student artists or their parents, and the program embraces special needs students, as well.
The American Guild of Judaic Art is composed of over 100 professional artists from around the world who are celebrated for their Jewish related art. From a strictly educational perspective, The Guild is introducing a one-of-a-kind mentoring program: AGJA artists volunteer to mentor student artists in a unique on-line venue.
The mentor program is a direct approach to reaching young people who express a sincere interest in learning how to create Jewish art. Guild artists experience the rare opportunity to mentor, guide and inspire a young person in the complex world of Judaic art, all done on-line.
As a Judaic arts organization, the Guild will use its numerous resources to facilitate the development and growth of the mentoring program.
Student artists are selected for this educational Jewish arts program based on criteria which can be obtained upon request.
Guild mentor/artists serve on the admissions committee, offering input in the selection of students for the program
