Joshua Soudakoff, son of JDCC president Sharon Ann Dror, launched a new website in April 2010, the Jewish Deaf Multimedia (JDMM). This website, which can be reached at www.jewishdeafmm.org, has sign language videos and a ‘Ask the Rabbi’ forum.
“Jewish Deaf Multimedia aims to bring the beautiful wisdom of our precious heritage to the Jewish Deaf community”, the website states, “Through videos in American Sign Language with members of our community, this goal is being realized. All of our videos are fully captioned for those who need it”.
JDMM is based in Los Angeles, California. Rabbi Fred Friedman, a deaf Rabbi in Baltimore, MD, serves as JDMM’s rabbinical advisor and reviews all videos before it is released.
