Hello everyone!
I am a volunteer working with the Jewish Languages Documentation and Revitalization Project at Wikitongues. We are working to collect eight hours of oral histories in every Jewish diaspora language (see list below). If you are interested (or know someone who is), please let me know or email us at [email protected]. Thank you!
Among the Jewish Languages they are seeking help with is:
Israeli Sign Language
Ghardaia Sign Language (Jewish Algerian Sign Language)
According to the WikiTongues website, “We’ve teamed up with the Jewish Language Project at Hebrew Union College and the Living Tongues Institute for Endangered Languages to produce freely-available materials in the endangered languages of the Jewish diaspora, from video oral histories to online dictionaries.”
