Alexis Kashar, a deaf attorney in New York City, was named as one of the “Our 10 Women to Watch for 2011” by Jewish Women International.
“Our 10 Women to Watch for 2011 are leaders who demonstrate to our daughters that Jewish women can accomplish great things in their professional and personal communities, and make a lasting difference in the world”, the JWI site explains, “This diverse group of women will be profiled in the fall issue of Jewish Woman magazine, and celebrated at our annual Women to Watch gala in Washington, DC, which includes a luncheon, awards ceremoney, and vibrant honorees’ discussion panel. This year’s event will take place Monday, December 5, 2011 at the Marriott Wardman Park.”
