Washington Society of Jewish Deaf (WSJD) has announced they are hosting their 11th annual High Holy services – Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Alan Abarbanell, lay leader will lead services. In an interview by JDCC in 1996 while Alan was a student at Hebrew Seminar of the Deaf, Alan said his father was one of the founders of HAD in Chicago, and his mother was president of Congregation Bene Shalom for ten years. He had his bar mitzvah at Congregation Bene Shalom.
