Inclusion & Integration: Israel has over 1 Million People Who Have Some Form of Disability
JNF affiliate Special in Uniform expanded to include 32 Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) bases with 447 soldiers with special needs volunteering and serving. They began working with the IDF’s Golani Brigade, The Rita & Burt Tansky IDF Hearing-Impaired Program is successfully preparing soldiers for employment and integration into civilian life following their military service, and in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Special in Uniform soldiers played an integral role in sorting and distributing testing kits to medical centers around the country.
