Morris Broderson, a well-known deaf painter in Los Angeles, CA passed away on Tuesday evening, January 4th in Los Angeles, CA. He was 82.
Broderson was so moved after reading the Diary of Anne Frank that he painted two pictures of her in 1970.
The first picture, shown on left, shows Anne Frank with her diary, The box that is painted in the calendar is Anne Frank’s birthday, June 12th. This is a portrait of Anne. In her heart the image of freedom….and nature….
The second picture shows a calendar with fingerspelling of her name. The writings on the calendar are quotes from her diary.
