Mishkan Chicago has hired interpreter Jess Fogel to provide ASL interpretation at all Second Friday Shabbat services in 2019. Their service on Dec 14 was interpreted.
When Mishkan meets for Shabbat which is usually every second Friday of the month, Jess Fogel will be there.
This creates an opportunity for all to enjoy Kabbalat Shabbat services and for Mishkan to keep expanding to folks who might feel Judaism is inaccessible.
