JDCC has received another generous contribution. Thanks to the Ruth/Allen Ziegler Foundation who has made our projects come true
We will begin our Lecture series in September with Sheila & Dennis Brown. Their topic is ‘Lubavitcher Lifestyle’ … they will share their experiences of what its like being Lubavitchers, an ultra Orthodox sect of Judaism on Sunday, September 8th at 9:30 A.M.
Joyce Linden will talk about ‘Jewish Children of Deaf Adults’, (JCODA) on October 20th and share her experiences being a hearing child of Jewish deaf parents.
If there are any topics that you would like to be included in an upcoming JDCC Lecture Series, please let us know. The lecture topics for November and December will be announced in the next issue.
I want to thank Alla Khodos for helping us out at Evelyn Zola’s Brunch. And thanks to Evelyn who did an excellent job making us laugh with her sense of humor! She was so funny and changed colorful scarfs with hats for each kind of jokes as you can see in the picture below!
I wish you all a very happy summer and see you all on September 8th at our first lecture series for 1996-97!

Dear Sharon,
Wish we had written much sooner about adding our names, Barbara and Phil S. Weiss on the list of those who met at the N.C.J.D. Convention in the JDCC News.
Barbara met her darling Phil on his birthday, August 12th at the N.C.J.D. Convention in 1968 at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, Calif. It was love at first sight!! I was his lovely unwrapped birthday gift.
So Phil decided to move here from Detroit, Michigan to start a new life. We got married the following year in June 22, 1969 at the fabulous Beverly Hills hotel. We are extremely happily married for almost 27 years and still lovebirds.
We have enjoyed reading the very interesting JDCC News bi-monthly and please keep up the good work!!! Thanks so much and Shalom.

Sharon,
Thanks for getting in contact with us – we’re happy to subscribe to JDCC News. We’ve added a small donation in honor of the Kesher Family Camp Program, which will be initiated this year at Camp Ramah/Poconos with about seven Jewish families with deaf members. See you at NCJD!

Dear Sharon,
Got the newsletter today! Wow, can’t tell you how much it feels good to hear from JDCC. I felt like I am closer to home in California even though its 400 miles away!
The newsletter looks greater and has more information than in the past. Keep up with a good luck! Best of luck. Shalom.

Shalom,
I saw your article about the sign language seder in the last issue of “Silent News”. I wished that I could attend, but logistically it is not to be. I am sending a donation for a ticket so that some other person may be able to attend.
I would like very much to get a copy of the Haggadah that will be used if at all possible. Would you please let me know if these are for sale and how I go about ordering one? I sent an e-mail message to [email protected] with the same request for a haggadah. Thank you very much. And I wish you a very Happy Passover.
