JCCAD, Florida
Alexander Fleischman reports that “over forty members of the Jewish Community Center Association of the Deaf (JCCAD) attended their Seder on the second night at Chez Max Restaurant since many of our members were away with families. Since the snowbirds are still in Florida at that time, most restaurants have 1st and 2nd seatings to meet the demand.”

Wolk Center at NTID/RIT
On Sunday, March 28th, the Wolk Center at NTID had a Model PassoverSeder which was attended by 25 people (students and faculty). Rabbi Fred Friedman conducted the services. He gave a beautiful sermon, telling the students in a humorous way how to identify and be proud of themselves as Jews. The students opened their eyes and felt spiritual. Program Director Melinda M. Weinrib says, “Rabbi Fred Friedman was a good role model as Deaf Rabbi to the students because some of them have never practiced their Jewish religion and were able to learn the history of Passover. They communicated openly and directly with the Rabbi”.
