On Sunday, March 21 we hosted an online “How Is This Passover Different?” webinar to discuss the Passover Holiday, its history, traditional preparations, and lifestyle. It was a great opportunity to learn all about Passover and its traditions.
ASL with Voice Over. A transcript is available on request as the auto-generated Zoom captions was not acceptable.
Thank You For Your Comments!
JDCC received numerous comments from participants who also expressed desire to participate again next year! Some comments are listed below. We thank you for your support!

It was a pleasure working with you for such a wonderful event. I immensely enjoyed interpreting for each of the panelists. Your hard work was evident throughout the event. May Hashem give you continued strength to be able to do the amazing work you do.

Wishing you all a chag kosher v’someach, I truly enjoyed the presentations and kudos to you, Sharon, for pulling it off. It is so nice seeing familiar faces again, though, there was no real opportunity to say hello to each one of you yesterday. I look forward to staying in touch.

I truly enjoyed JDCC’s event yesterday, especially seeing kindred spirits of Deaf Jews of different walks of life sharing their experiences.
I am intrigued to learn more about your plans in doing the videos standardizing Judiac prayers in ASL/ISL?

Thanks for this interesting video. Especially, the topic that Eric explained was good.
Attendees were not seen in Zoom. That is good without the attendees bothering in Zoom. I have taken part in Zoom with Paris but your Zoom is better. How?

First and foremost I want to thank you for giving me the opportunity to participate in the JDCC Pesach Program. I found it inspiring. I also want to share with you a story that I think you will find of special interest. After the program I was contacted by a woman named Rachel Mulford. She wanted a copy of our Signs of the Seder. I called her up to tell her that she might not get the publication on time for Pesach. She explained to me she is an interpreter and not Jewish. But she was very fascinated in what she saw. She kept on repeating how much she enjoyed the program. ENJOY!
Best wishes for a Chag Kosher V’Someach!

I want to compliment about this Passover lectures. Awesome you put the program together with fifteen participants. I enjoyed learning new topics and signing as well. What a well educated people knowledge to help other face challenge. I grew up knowing some and felt left out not knowing why, what stands for, and etc. Never too late to learn at my age so I can relay this webinar to my friends who are learning the truth about the Old Testament, let alone the New Testament for them. What they do learn the comparison old with the new. Never knew the meaning of Elijah opening the door could be use as the coming of messiah, white robe (forgot what we called it), romaine lettuce, two different leading Seder of Sephardic and Ashkenazi, and so many.
Is it possible to send me the link so I can forward to this person so he can learn from it.
Thank you for all of your effort to put this program together. Wonderful to learn new things.

Interesting story about Sharon’s mother and how she wanted to include deaf during Passover.
I ENJOYED THE WHOLE EVENT!
15 speakers were great and I love the last part with international signs.
Thank you for doing this!
Have a nice Passover. 💚
