Holocaust Day 2020 ceremony – Israel on Zoom
The Association of the Deaf in Israel
The Association of the Deaf in Israel participates each year in the Holocaust Day ceremony together with the survivors and their family and with about 200-250 people from the community.
This year we sadly did the ceremony online – through Zoom, and it was limited to 100 people so there were many left outside and we could do nothing.
We share this video link of the ceremony for those who were unable to enter.
Thanks to Henia Ben Pleasant for the guidance, Etti Schwarzberg for the blessings, Debbie, Dalit, Tali and Roy for the content, Mirit and Ilan Eliyahu who came to the home of the surviving Esther of Tosca during the ceremony to light a candle with her on behalf of all the survivors, Rabbi Joshua Soudakoff who told Kaddish in memory of the six million, and Sarah Lansman who closed the ceremony with the anthem of hope.
We’ll remember and not forget
