Temple Beth Solomon of the Deaf (TBS) president Joseph Slotnick reports that “TBS is sending our David Bloch Holocaust artwork and our archives of Holocaust survivors to the Holocaust Memorial Museum, in Washington, D.C., via Marla Petal. They will archive it and or add it to their collection. Some of you may remember the artwork that David donated to TBS from our 1983 Community Program “Crying Hands.”
Marla Petal, posted in Deaf Holocaust Experience group on Facebook that she and Michelle Baron attended Shabbat service with Temple Beth Solomon of the Deaf. “We had the chance to update the 35+ attendees about this FB page, and current efforts with some of those who got it all started! The founders and Board of TBS were the first to suggest the ground-breaking public event that we held in Los Angeles in 1983 to recognize deaf survivors of the holocaust and to remember deaf victims.”
