On March 11, Hillel at Gallaudet hosted “Conversation with Deaf Israelis” – a panel of Deaf Israelis who shared their experiences.

Maor Ben Zeev, 27; Multidisciplinary. Ashkenazic.
Hodaya Almkiass, 32; Israeli Sign Language Teacher, Youth Coordinator at the Association of the Deaf, Instructor in Israel Accessibility, Director of the Katargal Youth Group in Yehud. Sephardic.
Adis Sibaht, 35; Special education teacher, instructor, actor. Ethiopian Jew.

The event was moderated in Israeli Sign Language with a Deaf ASL interpreter, English voice interpreting, and captioning.
