Carol Trachtenberg, retired in June two years ago and has recently joined the TBS Board of Directors as vice president and we couldn’t be happier about it. She served on TBS’ 50th Committee working in the most difficult area of seating and reservations demonstrating her ability as a patient go-getter! When Carol says she is going to do something, you can absolutely count on it. After years of working as a teacher her organizational skills are superb and she has taken on the task of chairwoman of the Sisterhood’s 50th taking place next year.
Carol was born in Brooklyn and grew up in New York City, the oldest of four siblings and the only girl. She and her youngest brother, David, were both born deaf due to the genetic predisposition on her mother’s side of the family. Both middle brothers, Alan and Larry are hearing.
