* Brent Stewart Nowak, 71, Austin, TX, November 22, 2016
Brent Stewart NowakBorn in Brooklyn, NY, he attended P.S. 47. His family moved to Mystic, CT and Brent graduated from the Mystic Oral School and Fitch Senior High School.  He was a proud Eagle Boy Scout. At Gallaudet, he was a class officer and active in various organizations.

Upon graduation, he worked at the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center in VA, as a vocational rehabilitation counselor in Boston, head of vocational services in the state of New Hampshire, director of the Orange County branch of GLAD in Los Angeles, and a guidance counselor at various schools in New York and Washington, DC.

Brent will be missed by his beloved wife, Marcia [Galaludet ’68], and two daughters, Stacy [Galaludet ’01 and ’04] and Kristy [Gallaudet ’04, G-’08] (Dennis) and two grandchildren, Hunter and Sienna.

* Myron Barry Goldman, 79, November 17, 2016
Myron Barry GoldmanMyron was born in Chicago, IL, lived in Los Angeles, CA before retiring to Nevada in 1996. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Dolores Lilienthal Goldman, four devoted children; Toby, Loren, Sheldon and daughter, Verna, his sister, Barbara, and 11 grandchildren.

Myron graduated from Hollywood HS, CA in 1956 and Gallaudet University 1961 with a B.S. in Business Administration. In college, Myron excelled as a three-sport student athlete, earning letters in soccer, basketball and swimming and represented the United States at the 1961 Deaf Olympic Games in Helsinki, Finland as a swimmer.

Myron retired in 1996 following a distinguished 35-year career as a Senior Tax Auditor for the City of Los Angeles. An active volunteer, Myron was a charter member of Temple Beth Solomon for the Deaf where he served on the Board of Trustees, was named Chairman and Vice Chairman of National Congress of the Jewish Deaf Convention on multiple occasions, and served as the Chief Financial Officer for the Deaf Olympic Games, Los Angles, 1985.

Myron remained active in retirement as a member of the Las Vegas Deaf Seniors Club, an executive board member for the Deaf Seniors Convention, 2009, a Founder of the Southern Nevada Silver Knights and five-term Chairman of the Silver Knights International Poker Tournament. He was an active member in the Nevada Association of the Deaf, and National Association of the Deaf. Buried in Las Vegas, NV. Photo Credit: Congregation News

Passed away Thursday, October 6th, of a heart attack. Born April 14th, 1948 to Morton and Irene (Chisloff) Jarashow in Brooklyn, NY. David graduated from New York School for the Deaf
