Fannie at age 88 passed away on January 3, 2013. She is cremated and will be bured in Long Island beside her beloved husband in Spring. Fannie’s daughter Audrey took care of her at the Nursing Home for 2 1/2 years. May she rest in peace.

Jesse B. Horenstein, 88

Jesse B. Horenstein born April 24, 1924 – December 7, 2012. He married to Minnie (Miller) Horenstein on December 7, 1952. Minnie Horenstein was Death of October 9, 1999. (13 years ago).
He has one daughter Susan (Horenstein) Saperstein. And 2 grandsons Steven & Bruce Saperstein.
He was a member of Brooklyn Division No. 23 National Fraternal Society of the Deaf, Brooklyn Hebrew Society of the Deaf, Inc., Union League of the Deaf, Temple Beth of the Deaf, Fanwood Alumni Association.

New Baby
Liz Stone Nirenberg and Jud Nirenberg on the birth of their son, Emmet Julian Nirenberg. Born December 11, 2012, he weighed 5 lbs, 14 oz. Emmet Julian is named after two special people in his parents’ lives – his father’s grandmother, Emma, and his mother’s great-grandfather, John, who lived to be 102. The parents chose the name “Emmet” because in Hebrew it means “truth”.
Baby Naming
On January 4th, Rabbi Deborah officiated at the Lovitch/Scroggins naming of Tessa Jo Scroggins, daughter of Marlo Jo (Lovitch) and Joey Scroggins. This community-wide celebration was a wonderful spotlight of community support with standing room only. Family members came from as far away as France and Texas.
