• Dr. Lawrence R. Newman, 86, July 4, 2011.

Dr. Newman was a tireless advocate for deaf rights for more than six decades, and the former Assistant Superintendent at the California School for the Deaf in Riverside. From Parkinson’s Disease.  

Service was held at Mt.Sinai in Los Angeles on Thursday July 7th.

The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Lawrence R. Newman Memorial Scholarship Fund – 2208 Hillside Drive., Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
