* Percy Morris, husband of late Ruth Morris, November 1, 2021, Los Angeles
Percy is survived by his two sons, Aaron and Jacob, his daughters-in-law Andrea and Lucy and his grandson, Isaac Morris. He preceded his wife of 57 years, Ruth Morris (nee Rappaport), who passed away April 19, 2012. Born in London on November 17, 1930, Percy Morris apprenticed as a tailor, married Ruth Rappaport on March 20, 1955 and resided in East London with his family before immigrating to Southern California in 1963. He was a sewing machine operator with the same garment manufacturer for 22 years and switched careers as a reproduction office machine operator for 17 years at the Los Angeles Veterans Health Administration before retiring. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, uncle and great-uncle. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife and they would return to England several times to visit family and friends. He loved reading mystery and western novels and making his family’s favourite beef barley soup and chopped herring fish. Percy and Ruth volunteered at the Los Angeles Braille Institute for 30 years for the deaf and blind students and provided guided tours at the Tree People at Coldwater Canyon for deaf visitors for several years.

Survived by her husband: Jay Winegard, two children Hope (Vincent) Cousin, Evan (Jerilyn) Winegard, grandchildren Sean and Alyssa and brother-in-law Alan Winegard.
