Dr. Caroline Solomon to receive 2017 Ramón Margalef Award for Excellence in Education by ASLO

Dr. Caroline Solomon, professor of biology and Faculty Governance chair, has been selected to receive the Ramón Margalef Award for Excellence in Education by the Association for the Sciences of Limnology and Oceanography.

The award, honoring excellence in teaching and mentoring in the fields of limnology and oceanography, recognizes Solomon for her extraordinary accomplishments in bringing the deaf and hearing worlds in science together, coupled with her exceptional skill as a mentor, educator, and leader to inspire all. Each year, ASLO honors scientists for their achievements in the aquatic sciences.

The awards will be presented at the Aquatic Sciences Meeting in Honolulu, Hawaii, February 26-March 3, 2017. For more information about all individual awardees, visit aslo.org/awards/2017/.
