Jewish Deaf Congress hosted a special meeting at Jewish Federation of Greater Washington on Sunday, February 21st.
In an email announcement, Jacob Salem, president of Jewish Deaf Congress (JDC) said:
“The purpose of this meeting is to take action to determine the fate of JDC. During the meeting, we’ll bring up the serious issues concerning the organization, explore various solutions, and decide the final outcome of the organization’s future together.
The call for this “General Assembly” meeting seems to have been posted on September 30, 2015. According to JDC’s website jewishdeafcongress.org, Salem is president for 2013-2015 term. Officers were elected during the JDC Conference at Washington, DC in May 2013.
