Jewish Signers of MA
In a post to the Jewish Signers of MA group, Kimberley Shaw of Roslindale MA says “I’m pleased to announce that the novel I’ve been working on since 2007 is finally up for sale at the Harvard Book Store!
“It’s called “A Handful of Spells”, and is about a mainstreamed kid who’s not doing so well … until she discovers the ASL-speaking members of her community. All of this happens at a 300-year-old school of magic, that’s hiding out “in plain sight” in the town of Salem MA.”
In Twitter she says ” I’m celebrating with my newly self-published pro-ASL novel, “A Handful of Spells!” She claims that the novel is about a “half-deaf half_jewish student”. The first chapter of the book can be viewed by going to www.harvard.com/index.php?/book/a_handful_of_spells and clicking the “Look inside” tab.
