Hundreds of deaf and hard of hearing individuals participated in a conference about Pesach last week at the synagogue Seminar of Israelite de France.
The AIMMES organization – Jewish Association for Deaf, Dumb and Hard-of-Hearing – held a major conference event on April 1.
The conference, held at the synagogue Seminar of Israelite de France, included lectures given about Pesach with simultaneous translation into sign language on a giant screen.
In attendance were the Chief Rabbi of France – Gilles Bernheim, Chief Rabbi Alain Goldmann, the president of ASJF – Celine Hayat, President of ACSJF – Dimitri Portnoi, and Isser Lubecki (student in the Yeshiva Lubavitch in Toronto, Canada) who presented a video prepared by Yehoshua Soudakoff, subtitled in French translated by Mrs. Feiga Lubecki.
