First International Jewish Deaf Purim Shabbaton in Rochester

shabbatonJoshua Soudakoff has informed JDCC that “the first ever International Jewish Deaf Purim Shabbaton” will be held in Rochester, NY.

The planning committee who is putting the event together is Al Spanjer, Diana Pryntz, Regina Kiperman, and Beth Metlay.

“I will personally be present at the shabbaton, which starts from Friday, March 18 and ends Sunday, March 20. We are flying in Rabbi and Rebbetzin Friedman as well.”

Tentative schedule includes evening, morning and afternoon services, Havdalah service to celebrate end of Shabbat, reading of Megillah – the story of Purim, a Purim party, fun activities and a brunch.

This program is made possible by the Spanjer Family in memory of David “Max” Spanjer, Chabad, and Congregation Beth Sholom.
