Town & Village (T&V) in Manhattan announces sign language (ASL) interpretation on Rosh Hashanah where you can experience a public outdoor
blowing of the Shofar.
WHAT: In-person outdoor Shofar-blowing on Rosh Hashanah’s 1st Day
WHEN: 4 – 4:30 PM

WHERE: Stuyvesant Town’s Playground #3
south of 610 East 20th Street
[near Avenue C, in Manhattan]
Following ceremony, group will walk to the nearby East River for Tashlich, the ceremonial casting of our sins (as small pieces of bread) upon the water.

ASL interpreters are available at T&V when requests are made in advance. T&V’s ASL Fund recently won the Schechter Award from United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism’s Metropolitan New York District for its efforts in funding ASL interpretations of Jewish Services and Life-Cycle Events for the last 15+ years.
