I want to thank the Cohen’s (Shelley, Lou & Brad) for letting us host JDCC’s 5th Chanukah brunch at their house. We had over forty people. Potato latkes, blintzes, gelts & jelly donuts were served. We had gift exchanges and played Chanukah quiz. Patsy Tebbs won the quiz!!!
Our next event is a lecture by Joyce Linden who will share her experience being a ‘Jewish Child Of Deaf Adults’ on Sunday, March 2nd at CSUN in the Multipurpose Room at 9:30 a.m.
Welcome Dan Mc Clintock aboard – he will be doing comic strips for JDCC News – a new exciting feature. We continue to expand JDCC News – give us your ideas or suggestions! A new feature has been added, David Rosenbaum will be writing Jewish Deaf Business articles.
JDCC will be celebrating its 5th birthday during 1997. A big celebration is being planned. We are pleased to announce two new contests that is now being offered to Jewish Deaf Children and Teens across the United States. If you know any students, please let them know of these two new contests. See page 13 for more information.
JDCC”s First Night Passover Community Seder will be held at Beth Jacob Congregation in Beverly Hills on Monday evening, April 21st. Cost is $25.00 per person. Seder is under RCC kosher supervision. Childcare will be provided for children. Call for more information.
