Our Deepest Sympathies:
* Joseph Rosenstein, 87, November 11, 2019, Brookline, MA
Dr. Rosenstein was an American Sign Language (ASL) interpreter and a strong advocate of Alexander Graham Bell Association for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. Rosenstein believed in both visual and aural means. He was a school psychologist, worked at Lexington School for the Deaf in NYC and Model Secondary School of the Deaf (MSSD) in Washington DC.
A statement from Washington Society of Jewish Deaf (WSJD) says “Joe was an honorary member of WSJD and a long time interpreter at the High Holy Day services at the Washington Hebrew Congregation years ago. He was also asked by numerous members to interpret life cycle events. May his memory be a blessing.” Obituary
