EXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci (A Private War) is set to star opposite lead Jessica Biel in Limetown, Facebook Watch’s 10-episode series based on the popular podcast. Oscar winner Marlee Matlin (Quantico), Emmy nominee Kelly Jenrette (The Handmaid’s Tale), John Beasley (Shots Fired) and Louis Ferreira (Netflix’s Travelers) also have been cast in the series which hails from Endeavor Content and Midnight Radio. Principal production began in Vancouver on Wednesday.
Zack Akers and Skip Bronkie, creators of the Limetown podcast, will write the adaptation, which follows Lia Haddock (Biel), a journalist for American Public Radio (APR), as she unravels the mystery behind the disappearance of over 300 people at a neuroscience research facility in Tennessee.
Character details for the other cast members weren’t revealed though I hear Tucci plays the leading series regular role of Lia’s (Biel) uncle. The other parts are believed to be recurring.
