Joe Hertzberg, aka : Deaf-mute lightweight, fought under the name “Dummy Jordan” and was the number one contender during the 1910’s for several years. He came from Chicago, Illinois and was forced to quit after fighting from 1913-1915 due to family pressure. But he boxed again for two years between 1917-1918 and then quit again for good.
