MetroWest Celebrates Jewish Disability Awareness Month
The MetroWest Jewish community will be celebrating Jewish Disability Awareness Month throughout the month of February. Please see attached or visit www.MetrowestABLE.org (to be posted tomorrow on the web) for more information about the programs throughout the community.
Below, please note the specific programs that will be interpreted for the deaf and hard of hearing:
Saturday, February 4th Temple Sha’arey Shalom in Springfield will hold an ASL interpreted Shabbat Family Service for children up to 3rd grade at 9am. For more information visit: www.shaarey.org.

Sunday, February 12th MetroWest ABLE will host the Synagogue Summit ~ Building an Inclusive Jewish Community from 12-4pm at the Aidekman Family Jewish Community Campus in Whippany. An afternoon of networking, learning and idea sharing as we celebrate our successes and explore new opportunities for inclusion in the Jewish community. Leading advocates for people with disabilities in the faith communities, Bill Gaventa and Rabbi Evan Jaffe, will join us to share their experiences. A panel of Inclusion Innovators will share their success and challenges in providing physical access and inclusive religious programming and services. Three break-out sessions will be held to meet the needs of the individual communities. This program will be facilitated with CART programming. Registration is required.
