Empowering Jews With Disabilities (EJWD), a website founded by Marlene B. Kivins who also serves as its president, lists list of resources available to people with disabilities that is available in the Jewish community.
“This site was created because it is time for Jews with disabilities to be seen and heard,” Kivins says, “Our goal is to embrace a spirit where we can express ourselves freely, take a stand, be a part of a welcoming community, and rejoice in our strengths and abilities. We need to ask for help while striving for independence in whatever fashion we can attain for ourselves. We will support each h other emotionally and spiritually through this site…”
