New Baby

storkLiz Stone Nirenberg and Jud Nirenberg on the birth of their son, Emmet Julian Nirenberg. Born December 11, 2012, he weighed 5 lbs, 14 oz.  Emmet Julian is named after two special people in his parents' lives - his father's grandmother, Emma, and his mother's great-grandfather, John, who lived to be 102. The parents chose the name "Emmet" because in Hebrew it means "truth".

Baby Naming

MarloJo1On January 4th, Rabbi Deborah officiated at the Lovitch/Scroggins naming of Tessa Jo Scroggins, daughter of Marlo Jo (Lovitch) and Joey Scroggins. This community-wide celebration was a wonderful spotlight of community support with standing room only. Family members came from as far away as France and Texas.
